The South Jakarta Class I Special Non-TPI Immigration Office officially began its digital transformation rebranding with the tagline "Digital Transformation of the Sultan 1.0." This initiative is the first step in strengthening digital-based immigration services, in line with the Ministry of Immigration and Correctional Affairs' 2026 Work Program, specifically the first priority program, Strengthening Digital-Based Immigration Services.

The Sultan 1.0 Digital Transformation is defined as the foundational phase in the South Jakarta Immigration Office's digital transformation journey. In this phase, the primary focus is on structuring, strengthening, and preparing information technology systems to support stable, secure, and sustainable public services. This rebranding underscores the South Jakarta Immigration Office's commitment to a gradual, measurable, and objective evaluation-based digital transformation.

As a foundation for the implementation of the Sultan 1.0 Digital Transformation, the South Jakarta Immigration Office has conducted a comprehensive IT assessment covering information technology applications, IT infrastructure, IT processes, and IT personnel. This assessment aims to capture the current state of the systems supporting immigration services and to identify areas that require strengthening to meet the increasingly complex demands of digital services.

The IT assessment results indicate that the South Jakarta Immigration Office's information technology system adequately supports service operations through various immigration applications, server infrastructure, the SIMKIM network, and employee work equipment across the main and service units. However, the evaluation also identified 43 gaps that need to be addressed gradually, including one gap in the application area, 24 gaps in IT infrastructure, 16 gaps in IT processes, and two gaps in IT personnel. These findings underscore the importance of strengthening governance, system stability, data security, and the sustainability of information technology management.

Within the framework of Si Sultan's Digital Transformation 1.0, the one-year roadmap focuses on strengthening the system's foundation. The main scope of phase 1.0 includes structuring and standardizing IT infrastructure, improving network and server service reliability, strengthening cybersecurity and immigration data protection, developing and updating IT Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), improving system management processes and documentation, and strengthening IT management coordination to eliminate dependence on specific individuals. This phase aims to ensure that immigration services are stable, secure, and ready for the next stage.

Meanwhile, the Sultan's Digital Transformation is designed to be sustainable over the next three years. In the next phase, the development focus will be on modernizing digital infrastructure, increasing automation of immigration services, strengthening data governance and integrity, implementing a disaster resilience and recovery system, and improving the competency and sustainability of IT human resources. This phase is expected to encourage immigration services that are increasingly modern, adaptive, and oriented to community needs.

Through the Sultan 1.0 Digital Transformation, the South Jakarta Immigration Office emphasizes that digital transformation is not merely a technological update, but rather a strategic effort to build a foundation for professional, modern, and integrated immigration services. This step demonstrates the South Jakarta Immigration Office's support for the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections' policy direction of sustainably strengthening digital-based immigration services.
