South Jakarta Immigration Office Wins Three Awards at the 2026 Indonesian Public Relations Awards; Two Social Media Channels Secure 'Gold Winner' Status

JAKARTA – The South Jakarta Class I Special Immigration Office (Non-TPI) has once again achieved success in the field of public relations, securing three awards at the 8th Indonesian Public Relations Awards (Anugerah Humas Indonesia/AHI) 2026. This achievement serves as recognition for the office’s efforts in delivering public communication that is creative, innovative, and adaptive in the digital era.
The Indonesian Public Relations Awards (AHI) is a prestigious event organized by *Humas Indonesia* to honor excellence in public relations, public information transparency, and communication innovation across various institutions in Indonesia. The 2026 edition of the AHI centered on the theme "Building Transparency, Strengthening Public Trust," underscoring the vital role of public relations in fostering transparent communication and maintaining public confidence.
At the awards ceremony, which culminated at the Surakarta City Hall complex on Thursday (October 8, 2026), the South Jakarta Immigration Office received the following three accolades:
1. Gold Winner – Digital Channel Category (Social Media): Instagram (@kanimjaksel).
2. Gold Winner – Digital Channel Category (Social Media): TikTok (@kanimjaksel).
3. Bronze Winner – Internal Media Category (Video Profile): South Jakarta Immigration Office Video Profile.
The two Gold Winner awards for Instagram and TikTok represent a proud milestone for the South Jakarta Immigration Office in leveraging social media to disseminate immigration-related information. Through these platforms, details regarding services, policies, educational content, and institutional activities are presented in a creative and engaging manner, making them more accessible and easier for the public to understand.
Meanwhile, the Bronze Winner award for the South Jakarta Immigration Office’s video profile recognizes the effective use of audiovisual media to introduce the office’s profile, role, and institutional commitments to the public. This achievement is all the more significant given that AHI 2026 confers its awards based on an evaluation process of various public relations initiatives from institutions across Indonesia. This year, there were 371 entries from a wide range of institutions; 80 of these were named winners, with a total of 178 trophies presented. Such a turnout establishes AHI as a key platform for recognizing excellence in public relations and public communication practices in Indonesia.
Securing these three awards serves as motivation for the South Jakarta Immigration Office (Kanim Jaksel) to continuously enhance the quality of its public communication, bolster creativity in how information is presented, and optimize the use of digital media. Beyond the achievement itself, these awards act as an impetus to provide immigration-related information that is accurate, educational, and relevant to the needs of the public.
