South Jakarta Immigration Office detains Dutch national causing a disturbance at a hotel in South Jakarta

The South Jakarta Class I Special Non-TPI Immigration Office has detained a Dutch national, identified by the initials T.A.V., for allegedly engaging in conduct that endangered public safety and order while in Indonesia.

An investigation revealed that the individual had entered Indonesia on a Visa on Arrival (VoA) for tourism purposes. However, while staying at two hotels in South Jakarta—specifically in the Menteng and Tendean areas—the individual was reported by hotel management for damaging various facilities, including chairs, glassware, room lighting, paintings, water dispensers, and other items.

Due to these actions, the individual is alleged to have violated Article 75, Paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration. Consequently, an Immigration Administrative Action (TAK) was imposed, consisting of detention at the South Jakarta Immigration Office’s detention facility, followed by deportation proceedings via Soekarno-Hatta Airport on July 20, 2026.
