Four Service Points of the South Jakarta Immigration Office Officially Transformed into "Immigration Front Desks" (Beranda Imigrasi)

JAKARTA — The Class I Special Non-TPI Immigration Office of South Jakarta has officially designated four of its immigration service points under a new, unified identity: "Beranda Imigrasi" (Immigration Veranda). This standardization is part of a policy by the Directorate General of Immigration to establish a single, consistent identity for all immigration service locations situated outside of main immigration office buildings.
The launch of "Beranda Imigrasi" took place simultaneously across 254 immigration service points throughout Indonesia via Zoom on Wednesday (October 28, 2026). The national event was centered at the International Education, Technology, and Health Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Banten.
This policy aims to simplify the various terms previously used for immigration service units, making them easier for the public to recognize and access. Director General of Immigration, Hendarsam Marantoko, explained that this standardization is intended to help the public more easily locate immigration services.
"Previously, the public might have been familiar with terms like ULP, UKK, or 'Immigration Lounge.' By adopting the single name 'Beranda Imigrasi,' we want people from all walks of life to be able to instantly identify an immigration service point, no matter where they are," said Director General of Immigration, Hendarsam Marantoko.
He noted that the name "Beranda Imigrasi" carries a specific philosophical meaning. A *beranda* (veranda) represents the foremost meeting point of a home—a threshold before one steps into a new space—reflecting the warmth, hospitality, and openness of Indonesian Immigration in serving the public.
Within the jurisdiction of the South Jakarta Immigration Office, the name change applies to the following four service points:
"Beranda Imigrasi" at Lippo Mall Kemang (formerly the Lippo Mall Kemang Passport Service Unit).
"Beranda Imigrasi" at the Jakarta Provincial Public Service Mall (MPP) (formerly the Jakarta Provincial MPP). Beranda Imigrasi Pondok Indah Mall III (formerly Immigration Lounge PIM 3).
Beranda Imigrasi Kebayoran Park Mall (formerly Immigration Lounge Kebayoran Park Mall).
These name adjustments have also been applied to service location information on Google Maps and the M-Paspor application. The public is advised to take note of these new names when searching for service locations to ensure they find the correct service point.
Through this standardization of identity, the South Jakarta Class I Special Immigration Office (Non-TPI) supports a transformation in public services—making them easier to recognize, more accessible, and oriented toward the needs of the public.
